Walsall Walk of Witness

On Good Friday, Paul Hughes, a Leader in Science at St Francis of Assissi Catholic School, Aldridge, once again took the role of Jesus in Walsall’s annual Walk of Witness.

“We do this as a witness to the people of Walsall. We have to make sure the story gets told every year and keep it alive in people’s minds and also as a focus - a vigil- for the Christians who come here every year to remember Good Friday.”

Explaining what it is about Good Friday that is good, Paul Hughes said, “It’s ‘Good’ [Friday] because God sent his only Son to die for us to take away our sins , so the Good part is that we’re free. We can be forgiven.”
