Dr Farey to join Portsmouth Evangelisation Strategy Executive
The Diocese of Portsmouth has announced the appointment of Dr Caroline Farey to its Evangelisation Team.
His Lordship Bishop Egan, Bishop of Portsmouth, writes, "We are delighted to welcome Dr Caroline Farey to our diocesan team. Caroline has been recently contracted on a part-time basis to support the Evangelisation Strategy teams of the diocese. As Executive Assistant to Fr Mark Hogan, her first role will be to contact and visit the Co-ordinating pastors as well as the teams, offering to help set up Evangelisation teams if these haven’t yet begun, offering support and advice to those that are already in operation and producing materials for formation in evangelisation."
"From April, Caroline's office will be based at St Peter’s, Winchester when working in the diocese. She has extensive experience of training parish personnel, priests, parents, catechists at all levels, both in the UK and in the US. She was honoured by Pope Benedict XVI with the ‘Message for Catechists’ in 2012 and has subsequently worked for the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation in Rome. Many clergy will know her already for her work with us in preparing for the Convocation last June."
"Her role is for advice and encouragement for any team that would like to invite her to join them for a meeting. Feel free to contact her at cfarey(at)portsmouthdiocese.org.uk"
