How to Spiritually Join Poland's 'Rosary on the Borders’
"At the End my Immaculate Heart will Triumph!"
As we come to the end of the 100th Anniversay of the Apparitions of Lady at Fatima, on Saturday 7th October, the Feast of Our Lady of Victories, people will be gathering at the churches on Poland’s border for a very special day of Marian prayer.
The programme will start with a short conference followed by Holy Mass at 11.00.
After various devotions including various Litanies and Prayers, participants will have lunch and then walk to the actual borders in time for 14.00 local time when the full rosary will be said by all for peace in Poland and in the whole world.
In addition, the Rosary will also be prayed at the Airport Chapels.
INVITATION
Parishes outside Poland are also invited to join in with this initiative which has been endorsed by the Polish Episcopal Conference.
So far churches from as far apart as the USA and New Zealand are also involved.
In the UK
In the United Kingdom there are currently twenty-one churches taking part.
Writing in his weekly newsletter, the Bishop of Portsmouth, His Lordship Philip Egan states, “Poland’s bishops have urged their nation’s Catholics to join a massive Rosary Prayer Crusade along the country’s 2,000-mile border to pray for the salvation of their country. Organisers say they expect up to a million people to participate in the ‘Rosary on the Borders’ event on 7th October, the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto. The powerful prayer of the Rosary can affect the fate of Poland, Europe, and even the whole world.’”
“The ‘Rosary on the Borders’ event will also mark the end of the Fatima Centenary, celebrating 100 years since the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, in the spring of 1917,” he adds.
