Princess Elizabeth made a rare visit to Walsall today when she came to the town's Railway Station.

Arriving two minutes ahead of schedule at 12.24, she stayed for approximately ten minutes before moving on towards The Pleck.

The "Princess Royal" class locomotive No. 6201 with the "Pacific" wheel arrangement 4-6-2 was on its way from Midland Railway Butterley to Southall in London.
