Archbishop Longley Official Visitation to Birmingham Oratory
On Sunday, as part of his official duties, Archbishop Bernard Longley undertook a Visitation to the Oratory in Birmingham.

Whilst there, he celebrated a Pontifical Mass at the Throne for the Feast of the Holy Family.
“I am delighted to spend these couple of days here in the Parish community with the Fathers and Brothers of the Oratory in prayer and in reflection of the life of this Parish, an important parish in the life of the city and of our diocese.,” he told the congregation.

The Archbishop said he was “pleased to be taking my part in this beautiful liturgy, ” and stated that he was grateful to the Fathers and Brothers of the Oratary “for their witness and example in the tradition of Blessed John Henry Newman in Edgbaston and for their influence and their service within the Archdiocese.”
In the Tridentine Rite, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord is celebrated on January 13th, the Octave day of the Epiphany (January 6th)
