Bene Merenti Award for Decades of Work for Catholic Church

A Walsall man has been awarded the Bene Merenti medal for his service to the Catholic community for many decades.

Michael Powell was awarded for his work particularly at the Parishes of St. Mary’s the Mount and St. Patrick’s in the town.

He was presented with the award during Holy Mass at St Mary’s the Mount by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Birmingham Monsignor Timothy Menezes.
