Bishop from India visits Walsall Parish

The Syro-Malabar Catholic Community in Walsall was highly honoured when a bishop came from India to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on five of their members.

Father Jaison Karippai, Parish Priest at St Patrick’s Church Walsall said, “It was a truly joyous occasion to have Bishop Pauly Kannookadan with us this evening to Confirm the children in the Faith.”

Bishop Kannookadan added, “Confirmation is a time when people are strengthened in their Faith”

The Prelate is on a 10-day visit to the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
