Birmingham Archdiocese Pilgrimage to Hednesford

Bishop Byrne was the main celebrant at the recent Birmingham Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to the outdoor Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Uxbridge St., Hednesford.

Pilgrims from all over the Archdiocese braved the regular downpours of rain to attend Holy Mass and Benediction at the Shrine.

Parish Priest Father Philip Newbold said, “It was good to see so many pilgrims from various prishes of the Archdiocese.”

In the Church, there was also an exhibition marking this year’s 75th Anniversary of the Archdiocese’ Pilgrinage to Lourdes in France, which began in 1933, and was only interrupted because of the War.
