Pilgrimage for St Margaret Clitherow and the York Martyrs
This year's pilgrimage for St Margaret Clitherow and the York Martyrs takes place on Saturday, 9th May, at St Wilfrid's Church, York
At 11.30 am, Fr Richard Duffield, Cong. Orat., will give a talk about the history of Christian York.
Missa Cantata (High Mass) will be at 1.30 p.m., followed by a procession at 3.00 p.m., taking in St Margaret Clitherow 's house in the Shambles and the site of her martyrdom on Ouse Bridge.
The day will end with Benediction in St Wilfrid's at 3.45 p.m..
Members of the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom will be joining in the pilgrimage, as will the Latin Mass Society which is organising transport for anyone wishing to travel up from London.
