His Eminence Cardinal Burke visited the Shrine Church of Saints Peter, Paul and Philomena on Sunday (8th March). He was the celebrant at Low Mass.
After the Mass, His Eminence spent time in the Hall talking to visitors and blessing religious articles. He also cut a celebratory cake which had been made in is honour.
After the visit, Rector of the Shrine Canon Montjean said, "Our Shrine church has been blessed to welcome His Eminence as a great support for the work of the Institute in the Diocese of Shrewsbury, under the fatherly care of the Right Rev. Mark Davies, who personally welcomed the Cardinal last Friday."
"It has been for each of us an occasion to renew our fidelity to the Catholic Church. This unforgettable day will remain throughout this coming year as a main spiritual event," he added.
