Two Brothers of  the Society of Divine Vocations (Vocationist Fathers) renewed their vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience during Holy Mass at St Mary’s the Mount Roman Catholic Church, Walsall.

Brothers Christian and Rodolphe are currently in their fourth year of training for the Priesthood, but spent the first year of their religious formation in Holywell, Wales.

Following the initial year, Brother Rodolphe returned to Italy to continue his studies, whilst Brother Christian was required to stay in Holywell until last December when he was transferred to Walsall where the Vocationist Fathers started a new community.

Among special guests at the occasion were John and Angela Ward who travelled from Holywell, and who both know the Brothers well from their work in Holywell and their connection with the Bridgettine Order which has houses in Holywell, Maryvale Institute, and Ivor Heath.

Parish Priest Father Salvatore Musella said, "This was a truly wonderful occasion to witness publically our faith and a proof that young people are still prepared to give up everything in their own life in order to follow Christ in imitating His life and become his disciple.

We pray that this model of lifw may be an inspiration for many to follow Christ.
